Two
Finger Style Throats Per Net
Finger
style throats are placed on the second and fourth hoops.
Our finger style throats are hand tapered and a finger
line is tied to each mesh. It takes a lot more time
to make throats this way, but you get better catching
nets. |

The
throats are longer than
the cheap square throats often found on other hoop nets. The
special design of our throats makes it easy for fish to swim
through but next to impossible to escape.
To make nets stay cleaner, last longer, and
catch better, we recommend treating your hoop nets. Treatment
darkens the net and is particularly desirable for catching
catfish. For those who have an old set
of hoops or who want to tie part of their nets themselves,
we offer webs. By webs, we mean the barrel or outside netting
sewn up and the two throats sewed and narrowed down. With
these webs all you have to do is tie on the hoops and put
in the throat strings.

| Leads
and Wings for Hoop Nets. Our leads and wings are
hung like seines with #15 nylon netting on a "150
per 100" basis. Single top and bottom lines of
5/16" braided polypropylene are used. A sponge
float is placed every 30" to 36" (at nearest
tie) and a lead sinker every 10" to 16" (at
nearest tie). All leads and wings are 6' deep. |

NYLON
TURTLE NETS
Made of #15 knotted nylon netting and tied to three
galvanized steel hoops, these nets have a fingered throat.
Nets are approximately 6' long. These nets are also
available with a flat throat - "Arkansas Style"
at the same price. Fully assembled and ready to fish.
Suspend bait bag from back and middle hoops, positioning
bag within inner throat. Allow 2" of the net to
remain above water to permit breathing by trapped turtles. |

SHAD SCOOP
Great
for scooping up shad for bait. Works best when pulled
behind a slow moving boat traveling in large circles
so as to keep the net from pulling directly behind the
boat.
These scoops are made of knotless nylon netting with
